I think I’m finally getting there.
After yesterday’s angsty ride, I’ve got to a place where I think that the action scene is coming together. Today was spent re-writing (…again) chunks of it, and dropping a whole bunch on the floor.
I made just under 500 words of positive progress, but I’m feeling much better for it. I’ll be losing another thousand words or so as I re-write that stuff tomorrow. Safe to say though, we now have the scene nicely set up in a way that doesn’t sound contrived.
It’s also going to make Mason pissed. Wow, man. You’ve no idea.
